Celebrating Progress and Growth

One of the coolest and most impressive running-related things I’ve been able to witness in the last couple of years is Kara Goucher missing, and then finding her stride again.

She’s an Olympian. She’s competed on a stage that most people can only dream of. Yet on a run recently, a couple of miles at 7 flat and she was absolutely BEAMING with pride and joy.

Always be grateful for what we get to do. You never know when it might get taken away and if you’ll even have a second chance.

And if you get that second chance… it’s magical to watch unfold.

A few miles into our run I asked if she wanted to push “a bit more.” She said she was already pushing, but sure.

So in true Oiselle fashion, we ran fast and took chances. Holy cow, that was awesome.
