About this episode

Back by popular request, Amelia Boone joins the podcast for her 4th appearance! Today, Amelia describes herself as an emo teenager trapped in a 40-year old’s body, and is totally cool with that! Beyond that, Amelia says she is finally becoming and making peace with herself, as a whole human outside of athletics. She is a mental health and eating disorder advocate, who shares openly about her struggles and what she has learned along the way.

In this episode we talk about:

  • strategies for dealing with running and life struggles
  • finding meaning and purpose outside of athletics
  • cold plunges
  • creating communities that haven’t existed before: the Golden Girls
  • running longevity: maintaining a love of running through injuries and aging
